Your six-digit code

Open the authenticator app on your phone and type the code it shows for Fox English.

My phone is not with me

Use one of the backup codes you wrote down when you set this up. Each one works once.

Choose your own password

You are signed in with a starting password. Please replace it with one only you know. Your class lists are not affected — a password has nothing to do with reading them.

At least 12 characters. A short sentence you will remember works well and is harder to guess than a mangled word.

Set up your phone

Signing in here needs your password and a code from your phone, the same way the school's other systems do.

  1. Open the authenticator app on your phone — Google Authenticator, or whichever one you already use for work.
  2. Choose to add an account, and point the camera at this:
  3. Type the six digits it starts showing, below.
The camera will not read it

In the app, choose to add an account by typing a key instead, name it Fox English, and type this:

…

Capital letters and the digits 2 to 7 only. Spaces do not matter.

Write these down now

This is the only time these are shown. They are how you get back in if your phone is lost, broken or not with you. Each one works once.

Write them in the same place you keep your other passwords — on paper is fine and is what they are shaped for.

If you run out, or lose them, Simon can clear the setup and you start again. It never costs you your class lists.
